Avon Ski Club Landgraaf Race Training Camp

Friday 2nd to Monday 5th August 2013

Avon Ski Club is organising a three day race training camp at Snowworld, Landgraaf in the Netherlands.
Return transportation and full board accommodation is included.
The camp is open to racers, and also accompanying parents. Non-racers can choose to ski recreationally or use the other facilities that SnowWorld offers.

All training will be provided by Avon Ski Club coaches, on a dedicated training slope.

Any updates on the camp will be published on the Avon Ski Club website.


  • The cost for skiers is expected to be about: £350 per racer, includes return transport, three days of training and 2 nights full board accommodation.
    Note that this includes skiing all day either as a recreational skier or as a racer, so racers can free ski outside of the pole sessions.
  • Non-skiers will get a discount of about €20 per day.
  • Costs are still to be finalised.


Travel Out

Leave Friday 2 August, approx 8.30pm from Bristol (precise location TBC), travelling by minibus.
Drive to catch the 12.45am ferry Dover to Calais, then drive from Calais to Landgraaf.
Arrive Landgraaf for an earlyish breakfast Saturday 3 August

Training Sessions

Saturday: 9:30am to 11:30am with lunch around 12.30; afternoon session 2:30pm to 4:30pm
Same on Sunday and Monday leaving after the Monday afternoon session.

Return Travel

Monday evening drive from Landgraaf to Calais, aiming to catch the 11.15pm ferry back, arriving back in Bristol around 4am Tuesday 6 August.

A deposit of £100 per person will be required by 3rd June 2013 to secure your place. Please make cheques payable to 'Avon Ski Club'.
